Farm Favourites . .

BERRYS / BERRIES

From day dot the Berry Family has always stood out especially from a commercial side. Windy Ridge Goldbullion Berry has been a wonderful cow and currently at VG 87 (EX 92 DS),  I'm hoping I can get her to the next level.. Massive Fat kg and high PI's makes her a dream Dam to mate. Not only does she produced quality all round hiefers she is also a red carrier too which excited me more.

MILLIE'S

Where do I start,  the Millies have always been strong cows in herd but fertlity has been tested at times. We lost Windy Ridge  Magley Millie last year after she cast  herself  2 wks before calving, so that was sad time for us. But we were lucky that she was able to produce 2 great offsprings, Windy Ridge Gilbert Millie G 84 1st Lac & Windy Ridge Ladino Millie , great milkiing hiefers and stylish to match.  One daughter inparticular has impressed in & out of the shed.

Introducing

Windy Ridge Ladino Millie VG 86 2nd lac.

Millie has impressed us from a hiefer and after a little while.... we finally got her incalf.  Wow hadn't she'd grown as a 2nd calver and developed.  Her greatest achievement came last year where she won the NWS Branch OFC  4 year old class.  She took the judge's breath away, having already picked his top 10 cows didn't expect to see her. This was a big rap for us on how good she was or could be (especially if she halter broken). Due to her being so fresh and shedding a lot of weight from milking so hard she didn't come up to scratch for the final. Looking forward to getting her in calf an maybe flushing as she's currently empty. We love her to bits!!

CARRIE'S

The Carrie's are one of the few families of our own we can say that have 3 generations of VG in our herd. The Matriarch  of this family is an old Judge cow 767.

Windy Ridge Judge Carrie VG 85
(just started her 11 lactation)  has only 2 offsprings but the one thats still remains in our herd is a special cow. 2283
